The Shampoo Assistant Course is designed to develop student proficiency in the areas of shampooing, conditioning and product application. Students are also instructed in shampooing and conditioning, hair structure, care and product knowledge for successful job entry as a Shampoo Assistant.

This course is not eligible for Title IV Financial Aid

Career Opportunities
A shampoo assistance certificate can prepare you for an opportunity as a shampoo technician in a salon environment.

Course Outline
The following are the required areas of study mandated by the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology that must be included in the curriculum. Stevenson Academy supplements these areas to provide students with a well rounded contemporary education.

Rinses and Conditioners
Louisiana Cosmetology Act and Rules and Regulations
